Omaha Rollergirls appear on the WOWT Channel 6 Midday Show
All-Star players Sharon Misery, Ima Firestarter, and Ginny daBeatin joined up with two of the Omaha Junior Rollergirls (Nina Collida and Ida Hurter) to talk derby on the WOWT Channel 6 Midday Show. Touting our current record of 3-0, the skaters discussed our hopes for the remaining season, as well as talked about the upcoming Clover Cup Tournament this weekend in Dallas and the March 30th game when the Omaha Rollergirls take on North Star Roller Girls.
To top off the interview the theme of Kids’ Night Out was discussed and our plans to celebrate the family friendly nature of our team/sport. The interview was also the Omaha Junior Rollergirls second appearance and the seasoned skaters discussed the anticipated demonstration of the junior league during the March 30th game. There was also mention of the junior league wrapping up the first training session, which started in January, and their current recruitment for the upcoming summer session (July – September).
